Michael Mwesigye

Yoga Teacher

Michael’s yoga journey began in 2019 after a weightlifting injury left him with a strained back. Recovery brought him to a community studio in Entebbe, Uganda, where what began as physical therapy became a deeper introduction to mindful movement.

He quickly fell in love with yoga and its ability to connect breath, body awareness, and the nervous system. Friends had always described Michael as calm and composed, but it wasn’t until completing his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Lost ’n Found in 2026 that he began to understand how much yoga had shaped that part of him.

Michael is naturally active and enjoys soccer, hiking, Hyrox, and the occasional 5K or 10K. He moves between Vinyasa and Yin depending on what he needs, and genuinely enjoys being a beginner—whether trying boxing, jump rope, ice skating, or Ballet Barre, which is now his favourite class at the studio.

Yoga has played an important role in Michael’s recovery, self-understanding, and learning to offer himself the same kindness he extends to others. After years of wanting to encourage those around him to find sustainable and welcoming ways to move, he discovered teaching through Lost ’n Found. He’s grateful to now share his practice with the community that helped inspire him to take the next step.
