Tips for your first visit with us

First time with us? Give yourself at least 20 minutes to do paperwork, get a tour of our facilities, meet your instructor and get settled in.

  • Space in classes work on a first come, first serve basis. In order to avoid disapointment, sign up online ahead of time to reserve your spot.

  • To avoid late cancellation charges please cancel out of your class private within the appropriate window of time for the service you are using (3 hours ahead of time for yoga and mat Pilates classes, 12 hours for reformer Pilates classes and 24 hours for private reformer Pilates and Physiotherapy sessions)

  • Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

  • Make sure you have had a light snack prior to coming to class. Don’t anything too heavy but make sure you aren’t coming to class hungry.

  • Comfortable clothing like leggings/shorts and a tank to or t-shirt will make your movement experience much better. If you sweat a lot or are in a more challenging class, especially a hot class, you may want to consider moisture wicking clothing.

  • We are a scent-aware community so please avoid bringing essential oils into class and refrain from using cologne/perfume and strongly scented body lotions prior to attending

  • In order to keep the floor space in class safe for walking, please leave your personal belongings in the shelves in each studio room or the changeroom. However, the studio is not responsible for lost or stolen items so if you prefer to have your items with you, please limit items to one small personal bag in addition to your water bottle.

  • To ensure a spot in class, arrive early and please be on your mat ready to start a few minutes before class begins. Latecomers (even by 1 minute) will not be permitted into class as it’s disruptive and takes away from the practice from the students who arrived on time.

  • For many of us, yoga class is the one place where we can have quiet, stillness and some peace so please avoid conversations during class.

  • All cellular phones and watches/fitbits must be turned OFF or on DO NOT DISTURB. Please keep your phone turned upside or covered so the light isn’t a distraction to others and avoid fiddling with your device once the class has started.

  • When entering the studio, please keep your voice quiet. It’s very likely that another class is in session while you are in the reception area so we want to be mindful that our voices don’t disturb others.

  • Savasana is the most important part of class so please stay for the full practice. If you absolutely must leave early, please leave BEFORE savasana starts so others can enjoy an uninterrupted savasana.
