Restorative + Yin Yoga Teacher Training

October 2026 | OPEN for Registration!

The individual experience of restorative yoga will be as diverse as we are and that experience changes day to day, moment to moment.

Because no shape is one-size-fits-all, this program will equip you with problem-solving tools and clarity on just what we are doing when we take shapes with our bodies.

The result: you will become a restorative yoga facilitator who aspires to lead restful group practices with clarity, care, and enthusiasm.

Restorative + Yin Yoga Teacher Training

From the Micro to the Macro

We start by honing in on the intention behind each restorative yoga posture and from there, develop strategies to curate each pose to the student in front of you.

From a deep study of the individual (working one-on-one), we expand our skills to hold space and guidance for a group of students.

The macro skills used when leading a restorative practice include considerations on group dynamics, an appreciation for our individual privileges and stories, and a recognition of how systemic oppression impacts all of us uniquely. More specifically, this program makes space for a discussion of how racialized trauma impacts both the individual and the collective.

From the Macro to the Micro

We build our knowledge from the ground up with a refresher on how the hip, shoulder and spine move. We use this tangible knowledge to better understand and assess restorative shapes. We honour the physical aspect to restorative yoga by spending time on pose templates and their many permutations.

Meet Your Facilitator

Taryn is a yoga teacher, nervous-system guide and lifelong student of movement and stillness. Based in Tkaronto (Toronto, Canada), she blends asana, yoga nidra, philosophy and nervous-system science to craft practices that are deeply accessible and richly transformative.

Taryn leads local and international trainings on all things rest. Her library of yoga nidra recordings became a global app in April of 2025. She believes rest is key to how we function and thrive in this challenging world. Taryn is ever reliant upon practices that enable her to hold life’s complexities with abiding presence. And for her, those practices are yoga!
