Kathy McWilliam

Yoga Teacher

More than thirty years ago, Kathy experienced an instant connection to yoga when she attended her first class. The unique practice of yoga of encompassing body, mind and soul, intrigued her and from that first calming breath in class, Kathy knew she had found what she was looking for. Being a runner and cyclist, she also realized the physical benefits of yoga and began to incorporate the practice as an effective method of cross-training to strengthen and tone as well as increase flexibility to reduce the risk of injury.

Kathy has been continually motivated by her amazing teachers, students, and through continuing education and workshops Yoga Philosophy, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and Reinvigorate Sun Salutations (Jason Crandell).

Her favourite pose is Downward Facing Dog. Considered both an invigorating and restorative pose, Downward Facing Dog provides a perfect balance of effort and ease. It can be part of an energetic flow or a place to rest, bringing serenity to the mind and body.
