Yoga Teacher Training
The Lost ‘n Found Yoga 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program is fresh and up to date, reflecting modern scientific research and emerging trends in the field of yoga.
Our vision at Lost ‘n Found Yoga is twofold. First and foremost, we want to dispel the myths of yoga in order to make the practice accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability and personal ideology. Second, we want to cross the bounds of traditional yoga and use yoga as a tool to help support the mental and emotional health of Niagara residents.
Our program is unique in it’s depth and perspective. It takes a look at yoga through the lens of science and human behaviour. Together we will explore where science, movement and theories of human development intersect with yoga. We will delve into what the field of neuroscience says about the brain/body connection and how yoga is gaining credibility as an effective tool to support individuals who have unique physical, emotional and social needs.
This training will equip you to be an exceptional yoga teacher who is able to teach compassionately, creatively and intelligently while intertwining tradition with current knowledge about the practice. You will feel confident in your skills as a first class yoga teacher as well as taking your practice to new places off the traditional yoga mat such as in your job as a Teacher, Counsellor, Educational Assistant or Recreational Therapist.
Our commitment to you:
Here at Lost ‘n Found Yoga, we are big believers in community. We all need community so we make that a priority in studio and in our Teacher Training Program. Our faculty are caring and conscientious individuals who take immense care at making sure your needs are met.
In our program you will find a compassionate and welcoming place to learn and process new ideas. We welcome discussion and viewpoints from all walks of life and all yoga abilities – whether you are brand new to yoga and can’t touch your toes or are a veteran and can stand on your head! Our teaching team is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and yoga practices.
We include a robus practicum component uncommon to many YTT programs so you can get hard skills and feel confident in front of a class. We also won’t leave you stranded when you graduate - we offer ongoing mentoring and teaching oportunities.
The program at Lost ‘n Found Yoga will challenge you to a deeper level of critical thinking and equip you with the tools to integrate yoga philosophy off the mat in practical ways as well as equipping you to be a first class instructor.
